Our leadership and management courses include:

  • Team leader development program: team leader training that is an 8-week program, with 2×75 minute online classrooms per week. Builds the essential skills of being a team leader.
  • A week in the life of a team leader: a customised, in-house training program for groups of team leaders who all work in the same department. Simulates a chaotic workweek and builds consensus on how different situations are managed in the workplace.
  • Employment law essentials for managers and small business owners: ensuring that the way you manage different situations is compliant with NZ employment law. In this course we de-risk and de-complicate employment law compliance.
  • Social intelligence: Observing people to understand what makes them tick, and making small adjustments to the way you interact with others is a powerful skill. Navigate relationships within and outside your workplace, building trust, respect, and influence.
  • Managing poor performance: This training is designed to give managers the tools, confidence, and practical steps they need to handle poor performance effectively, fairly, and consistently.
  • Recruitment and selection skills: make the right hire, the first time. Learn how to run a stellar recruitment process, right from thinking about the job itself, writing a robust position description, designing the right interview questions, running the best possible interview and selection process, and letting unsuccessful candidates down with dignity.

Time management training and coaching

One of the contributors to low resilience and burnout is the feeling of not being in control, especially when there is a high workload. Everyone seems to be short staffed at the moment, and so if you or your staff are feeling overwhelmed then it might be time to stop, take a breath, and put in place some robust time management systems and disciplines to help cope with what’s in front of you. 

We believe that all employee wellbeing programs should include time management training. If you’re a business owner or a senior manager with too much to do or too little time, then you may benefit from some one on one time management coaching.

We offer group workshops (in-house or virtual classroom) and one-on-one coaching for time management and productivity.

Stress management training

Stress comes from all around us. Workloads, difficult customers, deadlines, competing demands … then add the non-work stressors and you have the perfect storm for a health crisis. 

As an employer, you have obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act, to ensure that you have a safe working environment, and this includes managing psychological hazards, ie stress. It’s not always possible to eliminate stressors. But what you can do, is give your employees the tools and techniques to manage their stress and lead them to better wellbeing outcomes.

Resilience workshops

Life happens. Things come at us out of the blue and they usually come in the form of some kind or challenge or major change that we did not anticipate. How do you come through these life and work challenges, a happy, healthy person? Why is it, that faced with the same challenge, two people may react very differently, with one coming through healthy and happy, and the other lost and depressed?

Our workshop gets to the heart of what makes you resilient, homing in on change agility and growth mindset. We take the science of resilience: personality and psychological factors, and combine that with techniques from positive psychology, to create a customised resilience-building plan, unique to each learner.

Spoiler alert: participants will also boost your self-esteem, self-efficacy, optimism, and feelings of positivity in the process!
